12 V battery

The 12 V battery supplies the energy required to operate vehicle equipment (lights, windscreen wipers, audio system, etc.) and certain safety systems such as the braking assistance.

You should not open it or add any fluid.

User precautions

Using the tailgate

Before using the tailgate, check the objects and/or accessories (bicycle racks, roof boxes, etc.) attached to the roof bars: they should be properly arranged and secured and should not interfere with the operation of the tailgate.

tip

Ensure that the objects being transported are evenly distributed throughout the equipment loading area.

Choice and fitting of towing equipment

Towbar (cross member and hitch) not originally fitted to the vehicle: the entire towbar and mountings must not exceed 21 kg.

Any towing device must not obstruct any lighting component or the number plate when not in use.
