A110
If the vehicle is equipped with the function, this system monitors the tyre pressure.
warning
This function is an additional driving aid.
The function does not take the place of the driver. It cannot, therefore, under any circumstances replace the vigilance or the responsibility of the driver.
Check the tyre pressures, including the emergency spare wheel, once a month.
Operating principle
Each wheel (except for the emergency spare wheel) has a sensor in the inflation valve which periodically measures the tyre pressure.
The system displays a warning on the instrument panel 3 to alert the driver in the event of insufficient pressure.
Warning light
1 comes on steady to alert the driver in the event of insufficient pressure (deflated wheel, punctured tyre, etc.).
warning
For your own safety, the
warning light requires you to stop immediately, as soon as traffic conditions allow.
Procedure for resetting the standard levels for the tyre pressures
This should be performed:
- after changing a wheel.
- when the standard tyre pressure needs to be changed to adapt to usage conditions (empty, carrying a load, motorway driving, etc.);
- after swapping a left-hand/right-hand wheel (this practice is not recommended) Tyres;
Resetting should always be carried out after checking the tyre pressure of all four tyres when cold.
Tyre pressures must correspond to the current usage of the vehicle (empty, carrying a load, motorway driving, etc.). Respect the tyre pressures (including the emergency spare wheel). Check them once a month and before a long journey (refer to the label on the edge of the driver’s door Tyre pressure).
Resetting procedure
Conditions for launching the reset:
- ignition on;
- vehicle stationary;
- tyre pressure over 1.6 bar Tyre pressure.
tip
If the tyre pressure resetting conditions are not met, the "Tyre pressure SET unavailable" message will be displayed on the instrument panel.
To reset:
- press button 4 or 5 to select the trip parameters, then use the button 2 to browse to the "Tyre pressure: SET (press and hold)" function on the display 3;
- press and hold (for around three seconds) on button 2, 4 or 5 to start resetting. The "Learning Tyre Pressures" message is displayed for approximately five seconds. The request to reset the reference tyre pressure value has been taken into account.
Reinitialisation is carried out after a few minutes' driving.
Note: the tyre pressure value cannot be less than that recommended and indicated on the edge of the driver's door or, depending on the vehicle, on the bottom of the driver's door.
Readjustment of tyre pressures
The pressures must be adjusted when cold (refer to the label on the edge of the driver's door or, depending on the vehicle, on the bottom of the driver's door).
If the pressure cannot be checked when the tyres are cold, the recommended pressures should be increased by 0.2 to 0.3 bar (3 PSI).
Never deflate a hot tyre.
Emergency spare wheel
If the vehicle is equipped with an emergency spare wheel, it will not have a sensor.
Replacing wheels/tyres
This system requires specific equipment (wheels, tyres, etc.) Tyres.
Contact an approved dealer to replace the tyres and to find out about accessories compatible with the system that are available from the brand's Network: using any other accessory could affect the correct operation of the system.
warning
Changing a wheel
The system may take several minutes depending on use for the new wheel positions and pressures to be recognised; check the tyre pressures after all operations.
Tyre repair product and inflation kit
Only use equipment approved by the brand network, otherwise the system risks late activation or incorrect operation Tyre inflation kit.
After using the tyre inflation kit, readjust the tyre pressure and launch the resetting of the tyre pressure reference value.
Tyre pressure faults
If the system detects a tyre pressure fault, a warning message appears on the instrument panel 3.
Warning messages
The table includes the alert messages displayed on the instrument panel when the system detects possible inflation problems (deflated wheel, punctured wheel, etc.).
For your own safety, the
warning light requires you to stop immediately, as soon as traffic conditions allow.
Indicator lights | Messages | Readings |
|---|---|---|
comes on (not flashing). | Adjust Tyre Pressure | This indicates that tyre under-inflation has been detected. Check and adjust the pressure of all four tyres when cold. The warnings disappear on the instrument panel after a few minutes of driving. |
appears and stays on, accompanied by a beep. | Puncture | This indicates that the tyre concerned is punctured or severely underinflated. Adjust the pressure of the four tyres while cold if the tyre is deflated. The warnings disappear on the instrument panel after a few minutes of driving. If the tyre is punctured, replace it or have it replaced and then reset the system. |
| Check Tyre Pressure Sensors | This indicates that at least one wheel is not fitted with a sensor (e.g. emergency spare wheel) or that the sensor is faulty. Depending on the vehicle, the wheel is no longer indicated on the instrument panel. Consult an approved Dealer. |
