Legal information

When you lend your vehicle, you are obliged (see the General Conditions of Sale of the connected services) to inform the person to whom you are lending your vehicle that the vehicle will be connected and collecting personal information such as the vehicle's location.

Data collection

The collection of vehicle data may be temporarily suspended.

To do this, when the vehicle is started and the "Security and Confidentiality" window is displayed on the centre screen, select "OFF" to suspend data collection.

Vehicle relinquishment

When relinquishing the vehicle, you must inform the new buyer that this vehicle is connected and collects personal data such as the vehicle's location.

Deleting personal data

When the vehicle is relinquished (e.g. resale, purchase), it is essential to delete all personal information stored within and outside the vehicle.

To do this, reset the on-board system and delete the vehicle from your "My Alpine" account.

Resetting the system

When the vehicle is relinquished, the seller must reset the system. To do this, switch on your vehicle's multimedia system.

From the "Vehicle" world , "Settings", "System", "Resetting options", then "Restore factory settings" (delete data).

Note: it is only possible to reset the system from the administrator profile.

Deleting a vehicle from your "My Alpine" account

When relinquishing your vehicle, it is also necessary to delete it from your "My Alpine" account.

To do this, log in to your "My Alpine" account, select the relevant vehicle in your virtual garage and then, from the "Options", select "Delete".
