Legal information

When you lend your vehicle, you are obliged (see the General Conditions of Sale of the connected services) to inform the person to whom you are lending your vehicle that the vehicle will be connected and collecting personal information such as the vehicle's location.

Data collection

To enable the connected services, your vehicle collects data mainly related to the vehicle's position and its operating status. This data is personal. In accordance with the regulations in force on data protection, this data is processed in a confidential manner with the consent of the vehicle user.

The collection of vehicle data may be temporarily suspended. To do this, when the vehicle is started and the "Security and Confidentiality" window is displayed on the centre screen, select "OFF" to suspend data collection.

The services will no longer be available, except for the compulsory or safety functions relating to the automatic emergency call in the event of an accident.

Deleting personal data

When relinquishing the vehicle (e.g. in the case of resale or purchase), it is essential to delete all stored personal data, whether stored in the vehicle or associated with online services.

Reset the onboard system and remove the vehicle from your "My Alpine" account to erase all personal data.

Deleting a vehicle from your "My Alpine" account

When relinquishing your vehicle, it is also necessary to delete it from your "My Alpine" account.

To do this, connect to your "My Alpine" account and delete the vehicle.

Vehicle relinquishment

When relinquishing the vehicle, you must inform the new buyer that this vehicle is connected and collects personal data such as the vehicle's location.

Resetting the system

When the vehicle is relinquished, the system must be reset. To do this, switch on your vehicle's multimedia system.

From the "Vehicle" world , "Settings", "System", "Resetting options", then "Restore factory settings" (delete data).

Note: it is only possible to reset the system from the administrator profile. Resetting the system deletes apps installed.
